Humanoid Factory PoCs

Validate humanoid and dual-arm robots that step into existing human workstations — for loading, unloading, and parts handling — without major line changes.

Core functions
  • Loading, unloading, and parts placement at human workstations
  • Moving across several workstations within one task
  • Collecting task data by teleoperation to train AI models
Customer value
  • Try automation without building dedicated equipment or jigs
  • One robot can be repurposed across processes, suiting high-mix low-volume lines
  • Learn benefits and gaps early before full rollout
Check before deploying
  • Narrow to one or two tasks and set pass criteria for success rate and takt
  • Safety zoning and distance from workers

Selected Robots

Hand-picked for this work, with the reason each one fits. "PoC" marks robots to validate in a limited trial first.

JAL Ground Service and GMO AIR trial humanoids at Haneda Airport

Challenge

Evaluate whether humanoids can support airport ground handling amid labor shortages.

Deployment

A trial started at Haneda Airport in May 2026 and is planned to run through 2028.

Outcome

Step-by-step validation for ground handling such as loading and unloading baggage and cargo.

AGIBOT G2 runs a test station on Longcheer's tablet production line in Nanchang

Challenge

Run a repetitive test station (fixture insertion at ±0.5 mm, pass/fail sorting) reliably without relying on manual labor.

Deployment

In April 2026, G2 was put on the MMIT test station at the Nanchang plant; 36-hour integration, with an 8-hour continuous run livestreamed.

Outcome

19–20 s cycles, 310 units/hour, >99% success, 140+ cumulative hours; expansion to 100 robots planned for Q3 2026.

LBX Pharmacy (Shanghai) runs 24-hour unmanned medicine picking with a humanoid

Challenge

Serve round-the-clock online orders without tying up pharmacists in fulfillment.

Deployment

From September 2026 at the Hongcao Road store in Xuhui, Shanghai: autonomous picking, visual verification, packing, and hand-off to pickup lockers.

Outcome

400–500 orders/day, 68 s per order, 100% picking accuracy; a Beijing Haidian store handles ~5,000 SKUs at ~99.5% grasp success.
